Clark Richardson, MPH

President & CEO

Clark began work in OTC consumer research in 1997, after completing graduate studies in Public Health. Since those early days, Clark's responsibilities have ranged from Assistant Project Manager to SAS programmer, Project Manager, Director of Operations, Vice President, President, and most recently CEO at PEGUS Research. He is actively involved in industry and scientific issues and is a frequent presenter on research methods and innovation.

After completing scores of OTC consumer studies (including numerous label comprehension, self-selection and actual use projects) for sponsors over the last 21 years, he brings a strong orientation toward OTC-switch program strategy, regulatory agency interaction, study design, analytic issues and solid, practical, high-quality research. In a period of intensive growth and evolution at PEGUS, Clark directs the full range of operations across our functional areas.

Kimberly Anderson

Kimberly Anderson, MPH

Vice President, Clinical Operations

Kimberly joined PEGUS Research in 1998 and has been involved with many aspects of operations within PEGUS since that time. She obtained her Master's degree in Public Health at the University of Utah in 2009. She has extensive experience in the design and conduct of consumer behavior studies, including label comprehension, self-selection and actual use trials. She currently oversees project support departments, including Data Management, Regulatory and Site Coordination and provides leadership and oversight for the management of sponsor programs.
Sarah Farnsworth

Sarah Farnsworth, PhD

Vice President, Scientific Affairs

Sarah has been with PEGUS since 2009 and has previously served as a Project Manager and Director of Clinical Operations. She is experienced in study design and implementation with a variety of behavioral research studies, including qualitative, label comprehension, self-selection, actual use, and human factors studies. Sarah currently oversees the Project Management and Statistics departments at PEGUS.

With an undergraduate degree in Psychology and doctorate in Neuroscience, she brings extensive research experience and a unique expertise to PEGUS in the areas of Neuropharmacology and the biological basis of human behavior. Sarah is also an adjunct professor of Psychology at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah where she teaches undergraduate Psychology and Neuroscience courses.

Russ Bradford

Russell Bradford, MD, MSPH

Senior Vice President, Medical Affairs

One of PEGUS Research's first employees, Russ earned his MD from the University of Utah School of Medicine in 1999. He subsequently pursued post-doctoral training at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, with subspecialty training in Pediatric Infectious Diseases. Along the way, he earned his MSPH from the UAB School of Public Health.

Russ has 20+ years of research experience, spanning the spectrum from basic science to clinical trials. He continues to regularly care for hospitalized children. Russ returned to PEGUS Research in 2011 as part of the executive team, with specific responsibility over medical affairs and clinical data collection.

Brent Page

Brent Page, PhD

Senior Scientific Consultant

As one of the founders of PEGUS, Brent played an important role early on by mining databases for safety studies.

Brent received his doctorate from the University of Utah in Applied Psychology (program evaluation and research design) and Organizational Behavior and presently holds and adjunct faculty position in the Departments of Psychology at the university and Family and Preventive Medicine in the medical college.

Dave McCammon

Dave McCammon, MS

Senior Scientific Advisor

After previously serving many years as PEGUS' President and then as Chairman and CEO, Dave currently serves as Senior Scientific Consultant. He is a member of the PEGUS Board of Directors. At a later age than usual to start his education (age 26), he pursued his degrees working full-time, attending school full-time, and raising, with his wife, their five children. He graduated Phi Kappa Phi, obtaining his M.S. degree in Sociology with a focus on research methodology.

Prior to joining PEGUS in 1995, he served for many years in senior management positions at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida in patient research and operational management positions.

Dave Bradford

David Bradford, PhD

Senior Scientific Advisor

Dave is one of the founders of PEGUS Research. He and his colleagues perceived a need to rationalize the process of switching a drug from prescription to non-prescription status. They began an effort to define and adapt the science of observational trials to this over-the-counter switch objective. He has also been instrumental in the design of novel epidemiological studies to assess drug-related safety and misuse matters.

Dave earned his doctorate in clinical psychology and a master's degree in public health from the University of Utah, where he is a member of the adjunct faculty in the medical college’s Division of Family and Preventive Medicine. Dave has also been active in efforts by the industry association, the Consumer Healthcare Products Association, in working with the FDA to further define and enhance the scientific development of consumer research.

He also served as an officer in the Army and Air Force Reserve, and is now in the retired reserve. Dave has been involved in research his whole career, and particularly enjoys the challenges of drug safety and OTC switch research. He is a member of the PEGUS Board of Directors.

Katie Montenegro

Katherine Montenegro, MPH

Director - Clinical Operations

Katie joined the Project Management team at PEGUS in November 2015. She earned her undergraduate degree in exercise physiology and her master’s degree in public health from the University of Utah while serving on campus residents through educational and social programming. Katie has worked in mosquito control and surveillance for the past few mosquito seasons monitoring mosquito species and vector-borne diseases. She is excited to be a part of the exciting research taking place with PEGUS. Outside of work, she enjoys the great outdoors of Utah!
Eva DeJong

Eva DeJong, BS

Director - Clinical Operations

Eva joined the Project Management team at PEGUS in July 2018. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology in 2012 from Calvin College, a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing in 2013 from Creighton University, and is completing a Master’s Degree in Public Health from Des Moines University. Eva has previously worked as a Registered Nurse and a Public Health Nurse in the hospital, clinic, and community settings. She enjoys helping communities improve access to health more effectively and efficiently without comprising quality of care. In her free time, Eva enjoys running, hiking, cooking, and traveling.

Chiara joined the PEGUS team in December 2018 as a Research Assistant. Her role has her supporting the project leadership team and assisting in the management of studies. Chiara received her Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health at Brigham Young University - Idaho.

Mariya Cann, BA

Project Manager

Mariya joined the PEGUS team in October 2020 as a Site Coordinator. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Illustration from Brigham Young University–Idaho. Outside of work Mariya enjoys painting, playing guitar, and watching baking competition shows.
Nikki Gillman

Nicolette Gillman, BS

Project Manager

Nicolette eagerly joined the PEGUS team as an Assistant Project Manager in July 2017. She earned her B.S. in Anthropology with minors in Asian Studies and Nutrition from the University of Utah. During her studies, Nikki wrote a publishable paper on celiac disease and the experience piqued her interest in medical research. Over six years, Nikki has explored different areas of the field, including nutrition information, research ethics and review, and nationwide data on patient recovery. At home, Nikki has a wide range of creative hobbies including woodworking, embroidering and home improvement. She equally loves international travel and camping in Utah.
Tera Smith

Director - Clinical Data Management

Tera began her employment with PEGUS in 2002. Since then, she has held a number of positions within the company in the areas of data collection and data management.

In her current role as Director of Clinical Data Management, she uses her exceptional attention to detail to help develop and maintain databases to ensure data is as accurate and complete as possible.

Tera has been involved in a number of actual use trials, self-selection studies, and label comprehension studies in her time at PEGUS.

She is currently in the process of obtaining a bachelor’s of science degree in computer science.

Sydney Anderson

Lead Clinical Data Management Associate

Since joining PEGUS in 2008, Sydney has worked in several different positions in our Health Care Services call center, including some time as a PRAMS Data Collection Interviewer. Currently serving as the Lead Clinical Data Management Assistant, she has had the opportunity to get experience in both health survey research and clinical projects, such as actual use trials and label comprehension studies.

Sydney is currently working on an Associate's degree at Salt Lake Community College.

Joel Mendoza

Joel started in PEGUS’s Call Center as an interviewer in 2012. Since then he has moved into Data Management, where he has been since 2014, and is currently an Assistant Database Programmer. Since joining Data Management he has served as the data manager for at least a dozen projects and has recently ventured into programming. He is currently working on completing an Associate degree in Computer Sciences.
Berenice Gonzalez

Bernice began her career at PEGUS in 2007 as a Health Care Data Collection Interviewer. In 2011, she was promoted to a Shift Leader in the Health Care Data Collection call center, where she was in charge of the PRAMS study. She was given the opportunity to work as a Clinical Data Management Assistant in 2012 and then as Assistant Clinical Database Programmer in 2015. Berenice has great experience in both collecting and managing data for clinical and health care studies.

Chanel Wood

Chanel Wood, BS

Project Support and Analytics Associate

Chanel joined PEGUS in 2021 to help track recruitment and create various analytics reports for the PEGUS team. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Statistics with a minor in Business and an emphasis in Applied Statistics and Analytics from Brigham Young University. She enjoys working with a variety of programming languages and Microsoft Office Apps to manipulate and organize data. Outside of work Chanel loves to read, attend concerts, and go to hockey/football/baseball games.
Cindy Riley

Cindy Riley, BA, ADN

Director - Clinical Data Collection

Cindy joined the PEGUS Clinical Data Collection team in 2010. Over the last several years, she has worked as a clinical interviewer, supervisor, and assistant project manager with a focus on severe adverse events. Cindy earned a bachelor’s degree in English literature from the University of Georgia and then went on to earn her R.N. degree from Darton College. Prior to working at PEGUS, she gained critical care experience working as a clinical nurse, supervisor, and preceptor in the only Level II Trauma Center in South Georgia. She has also worked in the insurance industry as a utilization review nurse and R.N. case manager handling catastrophic cases.

Wendy Murrill, BSN

Clinical Data Collection Nurse

Wendy joined the PEGUS Clinical Data Collection team for a year in 2013. After a few years at home with her 3 kids, she happily rejoined PEGUS in 2020. She has worked as a clinical interviewer, supervisor and is excited to be working as the assistant project manager with a focus on severe adverse events. Wendy earned her BSN from the University of Utah. Prior to working at PEGUS, her healthcare experience was in the hospital in the areas of well-baby transition care, NICU and post-partum mom and baby care.
Irene Brown

Senior Statistician and SAS Programmer

Irene earned a B.S. in Statistics from Brigham Young University and a M.S. in Statistics from The George Washington University. She has been programming in SAS extensively for many years. She spent the beginning of her career at the U.S. Census Bureau where she earned the Bronze Medal Award for outstanding leadership and innovation in implementing processing improvements in the Quarterly Financial Report. Before coming to PEGUS, she worked on statistical analysis of the Criminal and Social Justice System in Salt Lake County.

Outside of work, she enjoys lightsaber dueling with her husband and recently placed 4th in a Karate sparring tournament.

Davin Boggess

Davin Boggess, BS

Director - Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance

Davin joined the PEGUS team March 2019 as a Regulatory Assistant. He received dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Sociology and Economics at the University of Utah, and is looking to earn a Doctorate of Behavioral Economics as well. Davin loves to spend his free time camping, vintage shopping, and learning new skills and hobbies.

Caitlin joined the PEGUS team in June 2019 as a Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance Associate. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Urban Ecology at the University of Utah. Outside of work, Caitlin enjoys reading and writing.
Kim Johnson

Kim Johnson, BS

Director - Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance

Kim began working at PEGUS in January, 2000 and is currently the Director of Quality Assurance. She has held various other positions within PEGUS, including Project Manager, Site Coordination Supervisor and Monitor. She is responsible for ensuring that each study is conducted in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, good clinical practice (GCP) guidelines and standards including ethical conduct, standard operating procedures, reporting requirements, and personnel qualifications. She oversees the annual revision of Standard Operating Procedures and conducting general audits to ensure that SOPs are being complied with.
Kim also serves as the PEGUS Privacy Officer and is responsible for overall privacy of protected health information by ensuring safeguards are implemented to protect health information from intentional or accidental disclosure or misuse. She graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Behavior Science and Health.

Shannon joined the PEGUS Site Coordination team in August 2017. She graduated with her Bachelors in Health Science with an emphasis in Public Health from Brigham Young University-Idaho. She has worked with the Utah County Health Department in the Tobacco Prevention unit where she taught youth throughout the community about the dangers of tobacco products. In her spare time, she enjoys singing, playing guitar, and hiking the beautiful Wasatch Range.

Lindsay has been working for PEGUS Research since 2011. She is currently attending college at Salt Lake Community College, completing her general studies.

Outside of work, Lindsay has played on a roller derby team for 6 years in Salt Lake City. Lindsay brings excitement and enthusiasm to the team and is very detailed oriented with a willingness to learn.

Lisa Fairfax, MBA

Business Operation Manager

Lisa joined the PEGUS team in January 2023 as Business Operations Manager. She received her BS and MBA from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. In her new role, she supports the leadership team in contract generation, budget review, human resource oversight and operational success.

Lisa has lived in St. Petersburg, Russia, Grosse Pointe, Michigan, and Mammoth Lakes, California, and since September of 2020 she resides in Salt Lake City, Utah, where she hopes to stay for a long time. Over the past 20 years, Lisa has worked in many different industries and departments, such as accounting, front office, admin, HR, and management, to generate a complete understanding of the operations of any business. Her career goal is to continue to learn as much as possible and advance, with hopes to someday become a COO.

In her spare time, Lisa enjoys living an active lifestyle, whether at the gym, hiking in the hills, snowboarding on the slopes, snorkeling in the sea, camping in the desert or traveling around the world. She enjoys the arts, and can often be found at the ballet, symphony, other music concerts, film festivals, or museums.

Cody joined PEGUS in April 2019 as the Assistant Accountant. He moved to Utah shortly after receiving his MSA from California State University, San Bernardino. With previous experience in retail and being a CarHop at Sonics, he was excited to get the opportunity to work in the field of his choosing at PEGUS. Outside of work Cody enjoys exploring Utah with his dogs and aquascaping.

Brittany Green, BS

AP/AR Specialist

Brittany joined the PEGUS team in August 2020 as an Accounts Receivable Specialist. She has a BS in Accountancy from Southern Utah University and a BS in Mass Communication, with minors in Math and Economics, from the University of Utah. Prior to her employment at PEGUS Research, Brittany has worked as a web producer at a local TV news station, an accounts assistant at a private aviation management and charter company and spent three summers interning at NASA Langley Research Center in Virginia. Outside of work, Brittany is a lifelong Utah Utes fan and loves going to football games and gymnastics meets with her family. She also enjoys reading, watching esports and spending way too much time carefully analyzing her hobbies with Excel.
John Evans

John Evans, BS

Director - Information Technology and Security

John comes to PEGUS Research with broad experience in a number of technical areas and in a variety of work environments, including as a network administrator for a large financial institution, a computer hardware repair technician in a small shop, and as the systems administrator and B2B project coordinator for a distributor of laboratory equipment and supplies for the genetics and molecular biology research markets. In addition, he taught computer networking technology at the college level fulltime for several years, publishing twice. For most of that time he was the head of the academic department.

John earned a BS in Computer Science from Brigham Young University, and has completed the course work for an MS in Educational Technology at Boise State University.

In his spare time, if he is not found with a keyboard or soldering iron in his hand, John enjoys spending his time with his wife and six kids.

Jonathan Knowles

Systems Administrator

Jono joined the PEGUS team in August 2019 as a Junior Systems Administrator. His current role involves supporting technical needs of the business and also providing support to end users.

Prior to joining our team, he was an IT technician for a local ski resort where he supported all of the property’s systems and infrastructure across the various departments. Outside of work, Jonathan enjoys outdoor activities such as snowboarding and hiking.
